Legio Vox heads to PAX West!
Hey everyone, it's been a long time since we’ve posted anything. In the past years since our last blog post we’ve been through a lot. However, we are excited to finally give players a chance to get their hands on the game. This will be the first time we as a company, and I as a game developer, get to showcase at a convention. We are at booth 751. We will have multiple demo stations where you can try out 1 of 3 different demos, focusing on various core areas of the game. Our Combat Demo throws you into some unique and dynamic combat encounters. Our Exploration Demo allows you to explore our hexagonal overworld while you try avoiding various enemies as you make your way to the seeker outpost. Finally, our Intro demo lets you play through the immersive introduction to the game.
We have 3 different “quests” that players can complete in order to earn Gacha pulls from our Gachapon machines. Players can earn 1 additional pull by completing all 3 quests, making it a total of 4 pulls. We have 15 different buttons and some cool shirts to give away. Each pull on the gacha gets you a 2 in 200 chance of earning a shirt, and just like in-game, there is a pity system. The machine doesn’t get reset until someone wins a shirt. Twice a day there will be a special prize ball that gives winners a collectors set of all 15 buttons. This prize will only be in play at the beginning of the day at 10am and after lunch at 2pm.
The whole booth is themed around The Seeker Outpost that Belko takes the conductor to in the Exploration Demo. This location has special importance to both Belko and The Conductor. It's a sad reminder of Hope’s End’s heroic past, back when Seekers rode the rails and explored the forest. All of us will be dressed in special Seeker shirts, and we have a backdrop that people can take pictures with. Belko, Iris, and Aura will be available for people to take photos with. Players who take a photo, follow us, and @ us with the photo will earn a gacha pull.
We will have a variety of surveys that people can fill out to earn their gacha pull.
Additionally, players who join our discord by scanning the QR code at the booth will get a special discord role that can be redeemed for a free 10 pull when the game comes out!
What's most exciting for us is to finally get a chance to showcase the game, and give the players hands-on time to experience it. We are extremely proud of what we’ve created, both in terms of the content and especially the tools under the hood. We are eagerly anticipating all of the feedback, we want to make the best game possible after all. We are very excited to show off this small glimpse of what we’ve been working on for so long and look forward to showing off more of the game while we make our way towards release.
